Ray's expertise in custom lettering and typographic design has brought him international reccognition.
Designing new typefaces is Ray's passion. His wide variety of type styles are published by Agfa/Monotype, Bitstream and Garage Fonts.
While at Young & Rubicam Advertising, Ray's expertise in typographic design and art direction enabled him to create brochures, logos and custom typefaces for Y&R's most prestigious clients, including AT&T, Xerox and Philip Morris.
Ray has taught type design at Pratt-Phoenix, and has been a guest lecturer at other art schools and professional organizations. He has received over 30 graphic and type design awards from TDC, AIGA and ADC. He is a member of the Type Directors Club, the Society of Typographic Aficionados (SoTA) and the Association Typographique Internationale (ATypl).
